Participants will undergo a 10-day dietary intervention and visit the lab on 4 occasions plus a familiarisation session (5 hours total time). We are looking for both males & females who undertake resistance exercise 1-2 times per week, are aged between 18-40yrs and for females either no hormonal contraception or the monophasic combined oral contraceptive pill. All participants will be reimbursed for their time and effort. Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) offers continuous information on glucose levels in interstitial fluid (fluid found in the spaces around cells) every 15 min automatically, thus providing a comprehensive 24-h glycaemic (blood glucose) profile. Research is required to examine the accuracy of CGM for assessing blood glucose. This study aims to compare glucose values assessed using CGM with those attained via venous blood sampling to provide a better understanding of the validity of CGM.
